Premium Workwear was launched back in 1982 to supply workwear and protective clothing and has grown so much it is now recognised as one of the leading on-line specialist firms in the country selling just about everything that offers personal protection. It’s customers include local authorities, hospitals, construction companies, educational establishment and general tradesmen.

A full e-commerce website has helped to generate a huge increase in orders and enabled Premium Workwear to achieve record sales during its 25th anniversary year.

Managing director Philip Nixon explained: “There has been a big increase in the south west and achieved sales have exceeded all expectations. With a promised delivery to any part of the UK mainland, the site has also attracted numerous orders from the Scottish Highlands down to the tip of Cornwall.”

Mr Nixon said the increased business had helped the company open accounts with major corporate companies as well as local authorities, hospitals and schools.

“We are constantly monitoring and improving our marketing strategy and website in order that we can cater for every need. To meet new demands, we have just launched a new section that looks after the catering industry offering a range of clothing for chefs and kitchen staff.

“We are very aware of safety rules and regulations are introduced virtually every week and we try to pre-empt these by obtaining products that we know will meet the strict criteria.”

The majority of orders arrive within 24 hours of customers placing an order although the company’s official aim is to deliver within three to five working days. Orders over £100 are delivered free of charge.
